This post has been cooked in a moment of complete insanity, with a feeling of extreme guilt, stirred with an overdose of highly concentrated amount of stupidity.

Its subject to deletion as per my whim.

The content of the post may or may not represent the extent of the insanity currently being felt by the writer.

So here goes.

"A person needs a little madness, or else they never dare cut the rope and be free" says Nikos Kazantzakis.

Havent heard of him? Dont worry, Nor have i...But somehow in this moment of insanity, it truly sounds apt.

Have i cut the rope yet? Not yet, what Mr. Nikos Kazantzakis, forgot to conviniently mention, was about the part involving the free fall and the "THUD" (Which probably the person invovled in the fall may or may not hear depending on the distance invovled from the point of origin to the point of "Final" if not "Fatal" rest):P

"Because thats what people do... they leap and hope to God they can fly! Because otherwise, we just drop like a rock... wondering the whole way down...why in the hell did I jump?"

Woooow...Now isnt that deep...A Moment of Clarity from Moment of Insanity?

No..i didnt write that either, i conviniently hitched that part from Mr. Hitch from the movie Hitch :P

Can i Fly then? the Answer is ofcourse NOT, i am not part of the feathery Avian family nor am i from the planet Krypton. That part i guess has been verified unequivocally during my childhood days by several failed attempts of jumping down from top of the bed while trying to flap as hard and fast as possible :P

Although several friends of mine would at this momment call me chicken, let me point out to them that "Chicken", my dear friends, do not fly either and hence QED:P

So, Now that we have verified without any doubts about my ability to fly (or rather the lack of it :P) one will assume that anyone in their "right" mind or whatevers "left" of it(wow...thats a brilliant PJ, Come on guys that was extremly funny :P)would not cut the rope.

So heres my plea, to the lord above and below

Bless me with a moment of insanity,
Long enough to cut the rope,
Crazy enough to flap harder :P
And to boldly go where no crazy person has gone before... :P

P.S: Readers, consider yourself warned! If you see something in the sky, don't stand there asking "Is it a bird? Is it a plane?"
You better run for cover, coz it might just be me flying or rather flapping fervently,failing and finally falling :P

Baton Rouge

It began as a 2 week assignment, got extended by a week more...Boy am i glad its 3 weeks already. Its been 3 long frustrating weeks. Working long hours, having bland food for breakfast, lunch and dinner( No offence to american food, but its definitely not for me :P). Its finally time for me to pack up and head home.

Did not go around much, so do not have much to show :(. But here are few pics i could click of a beautiful church close by to my office.

Dreams & Nightmares

Its 3 AM in the morning here in Baton rouge, and i wake up searching for my geography textbook :P.

Wondering why?

Well, had a nightmare, where i just realize that today is geography exam, and as usual i have stalled till the last day to study anything. I finally decide its about time i pick up the text book. I go to the book shelf, to get the book, but i cant find it anywhere. Its only couple of hours more to the exam, i haven't read a single page and i realize i cant remember how the book looks like :P

I am desperately clearing the shelf now, trying hard to remember what the book cover looks like, hoping i will find it somewhere underneath with lot of dust and bookworms feasting on it. I have cleared the book shelf, but there is no sign of the book, nor can i remember ever seeing it.There is a cold chill running down my neck as the realization dawns that i for whatever reason never purchased the book ....and thats when i woke up realizing it was only a dream :P

Now, i have seen different flavors of the same nightmare :P. Be it,
1).Being late to the exam
2).Realizing there is an exam only on the day of the exam
3).Getting the exam dates horribly wrong only to realize i didn't attend it
4).Sitting in the exam hall and realizing that its the wrong subject i studied for
5). Not having studied anything till the last minute, on the day of the exam realize i never purchased the damn textbook :P

I have been told (or read somewhere in the web :P) that Exam related nightmares are the most common ones ppl get.

I wonder what my sub-conscious is trying to tell me, and why the hell does my sub-consious have to use Metaphors to talk to me :P.

Ooty Trip

One more thing that made Ooty trip that much more fun and memorable was a very cute little girl named Cherry :).

Niagara without the falls :)

Few pics from the archive :), these were taken during my trip to Niagara. Considering, most of the images that come to mind when i say Niagara, would involve the falls :P i am not posting any of those :)

Ooty Trip

Had been to Ooty with friends over the long weekend. As with all the trips we plan, or don't "plan" rather(as the planning part is always lacking :)) we started pretty late in the evening on Saturday night and Ooty was short listed pretty much only after the drive was well under way :P. Ooty is around 240 kms from Bangalore via Mysore road. On reaching close to Bandipur national park around 11-12 in the night, we were stopped by the forest guards at a check point saying the roads through the national park will remain closed during night time between 9 pm to 6 am, which meant we had to spend the whole night in the car, Guess thats what happens with all the road trips that are planned on the run :P. but aren't these moment, always the best part of the journeys, the ones which we remember when we are recounting it to friends :).We were only allowed to pass by around 6 in the morning, which turned out good as we had plans to take the ghat section with 36 Hair Pin Bends. The weather was good and the view was breathtaking to say the least :)

on reaching Ooty, went boating, visited the thread garden(that supposedly took close to twelve years to create), visited Sims park and tea estate. Yes Yes, couldn't take the toy train to Kunnur, but hanging out with friends always compensates for anything else doesn't it ?:)Few pics taken during the trip :)

Kapu & Karkala

Few pics taken during a trip to Kaapu and Karkala.

Kaapu is a beach close by to Udupi and Mangalore, its around 12 Km from Udupi and around 45 km from Mangalore. The main attraction being the lighthouse. Built around 1901, it still stands tall magnificantly.




Karkala is located at a distance of 35 km from Udupi.
