Somnathpur
This weekend visited a place called as Somnathpura near Mysore. The place is famous for its Keshawa temple built during the time of Hoysala dynasty. To be precise in 1268AD. Its around 40 kms from Mysore. Few pics taken during the trip :)

JiGsAw PiEcEs
Man is a social animal they say. In essence what it means is, we need to be with other individuals. Now lets try putting that in a different perspective. How about if we think of ourselves as a piece of jigsaw/Lego piece?
Think of it . As with every Jigsaw puzzle or Lego pieces, we are incomplete by ourselves. We need other pieces to come together to define a bigger picture, that's what, relationships are. Families, Friends. Each one of us have a very unique identity shapes, curves, slots (No pun intended :P)
When we enter this world, we don't really have an identity, or a shape. Its the people around us, our family that starts defining our shapes. Our parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, who, all have already a shape defined for themselves determine our shapes too. As we grow, we evolve our shape to fit in with these pieces. We start taking shape and and just like that we have an identity for ourselves. Now, there are jigsaw puzzles strewn all across, and as we grow we start coming across other pieces, other individuals. Some of these pieces seem to fit in just right, others don't. The ones that fit in, are the ones that we call friends. All during this time, our shapes keep evolving, influenced by the shapes that we interact with. Guess the need to hold on to a piece influences the changes in our shape. We either fit in more strongly with few pieces or in few other cases over a period of time the shape evolves to let the pieces drift apart. The interaction of the pieces influences changes on all involved. Small, big, minor, major changes. There are pieces fitting together, there are pieces drifting apart. We constantly keep evolving.
Now have you heard of the phrase "You complete me"? If you think in terms of a jigsaw puzzle, doesn't it make perfect sense? :)
After all, we are all thoroughly incomplete beings, incomplete pieces, meaningless by ourselves if left alone. Its the need to complete ourselves that drives us to find each other. Its the Family and Friends that complete us. Of course, the degree of completeness varies with each relationship. You maybe "more complete" with certain pieces than other. But each of the pieces definitely brings in that little something that was missing in us and thus help us reach a step closer to completeness. A piece that fits in just right and takes us a leap rather than step closer to completeness is probably that special person whom we wait for all our lives. A step, A leap or A hop whatever it may be, we still need all those pieces to come together in order to get closer to being complete.

So, here i am just a small Lego piece, a jigsaw puzzle totally irrelevant by myself, if left alone. Thankful to all the other jigsaw pieces that have come together to help me get closer to completeness. Of course we are still a very very long long way from getting there. But with pieces like you, we are that much closer :).
Wishing you all a very happy Sankranti :)
A step, a leap and a hop will get us all there :D
P.S: Whats love at first sight? its falling for all the wrong curves :P
P.P.S: I had been trying to complete this post for very long time now, today being occasion of Sankranti, thought what better time to complete something :).
