I am not Schizophrenic!

Watched Karthik calling Karthik on friday night. Heres what the movie is about and how i felt about it:

(Spoiler Alert!) In case you wish to watch the movie, kindly read this post once you are done watching it( Thats hoping the movie is still in theaters that long :))



The protgonoist of the movie, Kathik is portrayed initally as an introvert, who doesnt drink, who doesnt smoke, too shy to talk to girls, can not dance, never been to disc, in short the director would have us think unsophisticated, uncool, unhip, no life, nothing nill nada!!
Hes bullied by his landlord, his boss, his colleagues, the girl he has a crush on is going around with another guy.

So basically hes an introvert loser!!!, after series of events proving how big a loser he is, he decides to end his life, when he gets a call from...(wait with bated breath :P) you guessed it right,himself(Karthik calling Karthik, get it? :P) giving him a 101 on how to become sophisticated, cool, hip and on how to get a life. So hes basically an introvert loser whos Schizophrenic ( i seriouly cannot pronounce this word, every time i try, i end up sayin schezwan rice, so am i dyslexic? :P). So now the protogonist is suddenly overnight transformed just by having a conversation with himself into sophisticated, hip and cool guy who blackmails his boss(Er, thats what sophisticated, cool guys do, didnt you know? :P) to get back his job with better package. Wins over the girl and everythign seems to be getting perfect. Untill, he pisses off his Schizophrenic self by deciding to tell his newly won girl friend about the calls he gets from er, himself. :P. After which his Schizophrenic self goes about ruining his life.

Now how did i feel about the movie?

Well, I am an introvert by nature, i dont drink, i dont smoke, i dont dance, hell i cant even jiggy when i am alone, I dont have a girl friend,I see a pretty girl,i am too afraid to even look at her thinking she might think i am ogling, so you can forget me going and trying to talk. Now watching the profound portrayal of the character, i am thinking to myself, "Sheesh man i need to get a life, so when will i get a call from myself". But wait a minute, i am not Schizophrenic. So bang goes my chance of , becoming sophisticated, cool, blackmailing my boss to give me a raise, winning over a pretty girl and getting a life:P.

Thanks Vijay Lalwani!!! I am in introvert, let me now go meet a shrink to figure out how i can get calls from myself and get a life!

If you are an intovert and not Schizophrenic, then i would advise you to do the same! :P


P.S: Dont get me wrong, this was just an opinion of a very un-opinionated person :P
The movie is descent enough except for the cliched portrayal and a predictable story line :P. I would give it 2 out of 5. See, there you go i am nice person, BUT not Schizophrenic, unfortunately!!! :P

All about Cherry :)

The third of the road trips was longer, across 2 states and much more fun. It was with the Ooty gang - Abhishek, Shilpa, Nirman bhai, Bhaabi, n cute little Cherry :). The places we visited were Nagerhole,Irrupu falls in Coorg, Kalpeta in Kerala, Nisargdama in Coorg. There are loads of photos from this trip to post :). This post is gonna be exclusively of Cherry pics :) (Well, not exclusively, at the end there is a pic of another cute(as Shilpa would call him) little baby we spotted :P)

So ladies n gentleman, huge round of applause for Cute little Cherry. She definitely isn't camera shy, this one! :)

Udupi Road Trip

The second of the road trips was to Udupi, It was a friends marriage on sunday, and we decided to drive down to Udupi to grace them with our presence :P. We left Bangalore, on Saturday afternoon, the route choosen was Bangalore -> Mysore -> Madikeri -> Mangalore -> Udupi.

Attend marriage(check), grace them with our presence(check), Bless the couple(check), free lunch at marriage(check)...Wedding Gift??
Me: hey abhishek, did you get the gift for the couple?
Abhishek: Gift???? I thought you had it!!! :P


Well, we did bless them, didn't we :P

Trip back was, Udupi -> Agumbe -> Shimoga -> Tumkur -> Bangalore

So to attend a marriage for an hour ( and free lunch of-course, how can we miss that :P) we drove for 2 days, close to 1000 Kms!!! :)

Early sunday morning in Udupi, decided to visit the famous End point in Manipal :)

For ppl who havent visited this place, Manipal is basically a campus town closeby to Udupi. End point over there is a beautiful scenic location. Its on a hill top cliff, where basically the road ends (duh!! Dead End, End Point, get it?? :P) The view from, on top of the hill, you can glimpse beautiful sunrise and sunset.

The authorities have constructed a beautiful park, football n cricket ground on top of the hill. So in the night with the flood lights lit, its really a breath taking sight.

Sangama Road Trip

Last 3 weekends have been all about road trips, few fun pics taken during the first one.

These were taken on a random hill, we decided to trek, on road to Kanakpura :)
